Advocare 24 day challenge- DAY 1

in May I de index to try intermittent fasting and eat as I wanted, which 90% of the time is not horrible! 
My weight fluctuates so much that I was up and down daily– from 5lbs to 10lbs. With a final weightloss of 6.4lbs.
Today, I starting the Advocare 24 day challenge– hoping to jump start with the cleanse and so on…

I did opt out of a few things because of ingredients.

Want to “beef” up your lunch, dust off your immune system, and do it  all at one time?! 

Here’s a healthy food solution! 

  • Grass fed home grown beef
  • Organic quinoa
  • Wild Thymes chili ginger marinade
  • Wild Oats Garbanzo and black beans (I don’t normally buy this brand– but it was a quick pick up)! 
  • Fresh Organic Ginger (shredded).
  • Organic white onion
  • Baleine Sea Salt (sprinkled to taste).
  • Pepper Medley (not sure of supplier). 
  • DoTerra essential oil Oregano 5 drops. 

The oregano is helpful in stimulating your immune system –among other things! 

I let it simmer until the grass fed beef was medium cooked. 

I jazzed the plate up with lemon– feel free to drizzle across meal!

One week ago today I had decided to start on my essential oil journey with these two! 

The reason being — I’m over weight, have PCOS, hormonal issues, along with other medical conditions that have me drained, depressed, and at a standstill with weightloss and the hopes of ever conceiving. 

In addition to that, deep down — I just want to be healthy and happy! 

My one week of progress:

I have noted less appetite, not sure if it’s the oils or my mind set. Either way, I LIKE IT! 

Since I have hormonal issues, my chin is continually breaking out (check out face mapping– your skin tells a lot about you)!  With that being said– NO BREAK OUTS!  My skin is clearing up!  

I use my clarycalm roll on over my belly and lower abdomen area once a day.  And do 5-8 drops of slim & sassy in my water. Once or twice a day.  DoTerra recommends more– but I’m happy with this right now! 


Maybe it’s the clear skin, the lack of appetite, or THE OILS are actually working –but I’m feeling lighter! Good moods across the board! 

My exercise routine is yoga once a week. I’d like to get into a nice walk/jog regimen — my back and legs permitting!

It’s another meatless Monday dish – this time, a hearty veggie sandwich perfectly suited for this cold time of year when sweet potatoes are plentiful!

Roasted Sweet Potato Sandwich

Roasted Sweet Potato Sandwich with Goat Cheese and Honey

Yield: 2 sandwiches

For Sweet Potato

1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cut width wise into ¾-inch rounds

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for brushing on onion slices

1½ teaspoons finely chopped fresh thyme

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

kosher salt, for seasoning

freshly ground black pepper, for seasoning

1 large red onion, peeled and cut into 3/4-inch rounds

Balsamic vinegar, for brushing on onion slices

Place an oven rack to the middle position and preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Add the sweet potato, olive oil, thyme, cinnamon, and a healthy dash of salt and pepper. to a large bowl. Toss until well combined.
